What are cast porcelain veneers /crowns?

Cast ceramic veneers /crowns are also called cast ceramic teeth. It is an all ceramic repair process. It is made by melting the cast ceramic block at high temperature and casting it into a special abrasive. Cast ceramic teeth are superior to metal ceramic teeth in appearance and biological performance.

What is the Manufacturing process of cast porcelain teeth?

Manufacturing process of cast porcelain teeth is very complex, The whole process requires eight procedures

  1. Design the required dental mold

  • Apply the special wax evenly to the dental mold that needs to be made
  • After cooling and solidification, a layer of wax dental model is formed
  • Plastic design of wax type

Note: 0.5-1mm shoulder part shall be reserved for the brushing of partial crown/veneer/single crown and abutments with bridge, and at most two layers shall be applied. At most three layers of inlay type gap agent shall be applied to the prepared edge

  1. Installation of casting channel

After the wax mold design is completed, the edge can be trimmed with edge wax, and then the casting path can be inserted and embedded

  1. Embedding pouring

When pouring the embedded material, pour it slowly along the edge of the casting ring, which can effectively prevent shedding  of wax  ; At the same time, the vibrator shall be embedded and filled with the mold with the lowest oscillating energy level.

4. Warm up

After the embedding ring is cured according to the specified time of the embedding material, screw off the top cover and base of the silicone rubber ring, and be careful Push the embedded ring out of the silicone rubber ring, smooth the roughness of the bottom surface of the embedded ring, and align the casting mouth of the embedded ring. Put it into the preheating furnace for preheating

  1. Pressure casting

Take out the embedding ring from the preheating furnace and oxidize the porcelain block within 30 seconds. The aluminum push rod is placed in the embedding ring and in the center of the porcelain casting furnace, and the selection is correct Die-casting program

  1. Removal of embedded materials

After the embedding ring is naturally cooled at room temperature, mark the height of the alumina push rod, and separate the push rod and ceramic material. Coarse sandblasting the embedded ring with 50-100um glass sand under the pressure of 3bar-4bar

Until the casting appears, gypsum clamp can also be used to preliminarily remove the embedded ring around the casting. Fine department
Fine sand blasting shall be conducted with a pressure of 2 bar.

  1. Segmentation and profile trimming

        .      

Cut the restoration with low speed and light pressure of carborundum sheet, polish the connection point of the casting path smoothly, polish and polish the restoration with carborundum turning needle or alumina grinding head and tungsten carbide rubber wheel, and then use 100 μ M alumina sand is sandblasted under the pressure of 1 bar

  1. Porcelain or glaze finish
